Description
Soft, conformable non-woven dressing made from sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and strengthening cellulose fibers. The highly absorbent dressing forms a soothing clear gel when saturated with fluid, creating a moist wound environment that may support autolytic debridement and the healing process. The gel fiber formation traps debris and bacteria, retaining it inside the fiber dressing. The high vertical absorption of exudate into the fiber dressing protects the wound and surrounding skin from maceration. The dressing retains its structure even when saturated, facilitating removal
