Description

Sample collection and transport tube, 16x100 mm, sealed, containing 3.0 mL of viral transport medium (VTM) designed for collection and transportation of human viruses, including MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV, SARS-CoV-2, Influenza, measles, chlamydia and mycoplasma. Specimens are normally collected from the oral cavity, throat, and nasopharynx. Gamma Sterilization according to ISO 11137-2 for both VTM and Swabs. Tube body and cap are polypropylene and leak-proof. Viral Transport Medium (VTM) is manufactured in accordance with CDC Viral Transport Medium formulation of March 2020 recommended formulation; does not contain guanidine thiocyanate. Flocked swab: Innovative jet-embedding nylon adhered vertically and uniformly on the surface of swab tip, improving the efficiency of collection/release of cells and liquid samples to improve analytical sensitivity. Swab, sample collection, and transport tube are packaged together in a blister pack and are sterilized together by gamma both inside and outside of package
